Client Summary
Background and industry context
Raidiam builds secure infrastructure for open banking and data exchange. Their clients range from major banks to government institutions, all needing confidence in the systems they're adopting. The challenge? Explaining highly technical API infrastructure to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
Project Summary
Context, challenge, and deliverables
Raidiam's existing website wasn't effectively communicating their value proposition. Internal feedback revealed that visitors were leaving confused, struggling to grasp what Raidiam actually did and how their systems worked. The site needed both a visual refresh and a fundamental rethink of how complex processes were being explained.
Working alongside the creative director and development team at Syndicut, I helped deliver a complete digital overhaul spanning website redesign, brand refinement, and a full suite of supporting materials including presentations, ebooks, and social assets. My technical background allowed me to bridge design and development conversations throughout the project.
Design Approach
Approach, decisions, and outcomes
The biggest hurdle was visualising Raidiam's processes in a way that was both accurate and accessible. These are genuinely complex systems involving multiple stakeholders (banks, regulators, enterprises), and the existing explanations relied too heavily on jargon. I needed to create assets that worked across the website, ebooks, presentations, and social channels while maintaining clarity and consistency.
We restructured the site architecture using established UX principles. Applying Miller's Law and Hick's Law, we simplified the navigation to reduce cognitive load and surface the most relevant pathways for users. The goal was to guide visitors to the information they needed without overwhelming them with options.
For the homepage, we developed a scroll-based GSAP animation that visually demonstrated how major financial institutions connect through Raidiam's infrastructure. This wasn't just decoration. It solved a core communication problem by showing the ecosystem in action rather than trying to explain it through text alone.
Throughout the design process, I focused on translating technical complexity into digestible visual systems. This meant creating diagrams and process flows that could stand alone or work together across different formats. Each asset needed to communicate clearly whether it appeared on a website, in a boardroom presentation, or as a social media graphic.
This project expanded my skillset significantly. I developed a stronger understanding of how to simplify complex systems without losing accuracy, how to design cohesively across multiple formats and breakpoints, and how to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. The experience of working at the intersection of highly technical infrastructure and accessible communication has informed how I approach information design ever since.
The result: a unified digital presence that clearly articulates what Raidiam does and how their systems work, providing the clarity and confidence their enterprise and government audiences needed to make informed decisions.
